Hello! My name is Jessa Knight, and I live in Salem, Oregon.  I have a passion for being happy and finding joy wherever I can.  I love learning, music, playing piano, reading, and most of all, my family, including 5 younger siblings.  I've had the wonderful opporunity to split my high school education between Williamsburg Academy and Sprague High School (the local public school).

       Williamsburg has been an amazing place of growth for me.  I've always been the one student sitting in class who hardly speaks, but I sit there with my mind churning over ideas that I'm just too afraid to share; here, I was able to have a safe plce to build my confidence, and learn that it's okay for me to discuss ideas that I don't fully understand yet.  I've learned that it's okay for my ideas to be wrong and admit that when I speak with others. I've learned how to really listen to and discuss ideas.  I'm grateful that my love for learning hasn't been dampened by the atmosphere at Williamsburg Academy, rather I come away from class daily inspired to do more and be a better person.  

       I will be attending BYU-Idaho this fall.  There are many things I'd like to do in my future, such as serve a mission for my church, go on a study abroad at BYU-Jerusalem, get married and have a family, and continue to learn my whole life.  I'm excited to see where life will take me!
